  • How do I schedule property photography?
    You can schedule online at: https://portal.thelenshouse.net/book. If you have questions you can call our office at 757-821-7998. If you don’t see the date you are looking for, definitely call and see if we can make it work. Many times there are other photoshoots that have some flexibility to them but the online scheduling program doesn’t account for that.
  • Do I need to be at the photoshoot?
    No, as long as we have a way to access the property, be it owner or lockbox you do not need to attend. We do request your presence if the property is tenant occupied. If the owner of a tenant occupied property can attend in your place that works too. Also if the situation is difficult, for any reason and you know that it may not go smoothly then we do ask that you attend to help move the photoshoot along and help to iron out any bumps in the road. We find that 95% of the time this is not the case but for those “extra” listings we appreciate the team work to get the job done.
  • What’s the difference between video and virtual tour (3D Home or Matterport)?
    Video is a passive viewing where a virtual tour is interactive. With video we take clips inside the home of the main living area, primary bedroom/bathroom, and exteriors and we edit them into a teaser video that entices a buyer to want to see more. Virtual Tours are a full interactive experience where a buyer can walk through the entire home and see all views, ie 360. This is very useful for out of town buyers. Video is very useful for you, as agent, to put on your social media. We also provide an unbranded video for the MLS.
  • What if it is calling for rain?
    It happens! Unless we hear from you, we will assume you want to proceed with the shoot. If we proceed we will do our best to capture 1 front exterior as we know that is required. If we see a dry spell while we are inside we will pause and capture exteriors. If you’d like to reschedule, we are happy to do that. Please call us as soon as possible and we will let you know what the next available appointment slot is.
  • Can I ask for edits?
    Yes! Of course. Please know that edits can take an additional 1-2 days depending on complexity. As long as that can be worked into your timeline we are happy to make edits.
  • When will my photos [media] be ready?
    The quick answer is we deliver all your media the next day between 1-3pm. During the busy season April-July video can take an additional day to be delivered. Virtual staging is delivered two days after the finished photography is delivered to you.
  • Do I need to register for a new account with The Lens House?
    If you've had a photoshoot with Nick and Carrie's team in the last 18 months, we have created a new account for you in The Lens House ordering portal. Click here to go to the sign-in page. Click on the "Get Password Link". Enter the same email you registered with for past photoshoots. This will send you an email to set your password. Follow the instructions in the email.
